The Oroville Southside Community Association (OSCIA) is making significant strides in addressing homelessness and supporting Butte County’s plan to end it.
Our programs encompass transitional housing, permanent housing placement, workforce development, job placement, and vital support throughout the community.
Specifically, we offer housing solutions for women and children through our comprehensive haven, Capital Haven, and a housing program providing case management, referrals to other programs, and assistance in finding other permanent housing.
Additionally, we are actively working on establishing transitional housing specifically tailored to support veterans. OSCIA is proud to be a driving force in these essential initiatives.
The Haven of Hope Housing Program has been supporting mothers and families since 2000, with a primary objective of aiding clients in transitioning to permanent housing successfully.
By providing job training, case management, food assistance, and guidance in securing long-term accommodation, the program equips individuals to rebuild their lives. An impressive 95% of program participants have successfully transitioned into permanent housing.
The program caters to women recovering from domestic violence, substance abuse, and homelessness, offering counseling services for children and essential items like diapers, formula, and school supplies. The fully furnished facility is well-prepared to meet the needs of those seeking a fresh start.
