Haven of Hope on Wheels, operated by OSCIA, is a mobile service catering to the homeless community by providing essential facilities free of charge, including showers, laundry services, toilets, sinks, and stackable washer and dryer units. We have 5 40-foot trailer that has been instrumental since its establishment in 2016, offering support to various groups such as first responders, victims of national disasters, individuals struggling with homelessness, and those battling addiction.
Daily, it serves local communities by providing vital services. To date, Haven of Hope on Wheels has delivered over 30,000 showers, completed 14,000 loads of laundry, distributed 80,000 hygiene kits, and conducted more than 3,000 haircuts. Additionally, the initiative has served over 100,000 meals to those experiencing homelessness, making a significant impact on the community.
The Haven of Hope on Wheels Trailer
The freedom to take a shower or bath is something most people take for granted. For the homeless, unhoused and at-risk, figuring out a way to clean oneself can be an all-day challenge. We believe that everyone has the right to feel fresh and clean.
In June 2019, OSCIA launched a program, a fully equipped shower and laundry trailer called Haven of Hope on Wheels, within the City of Oroville. OSCIA continues to partner with other nonprofits and agencies to bring Haven of Hope on Wheels to various locations throughout Butte County, including surrounding municipalities.
Mobile Shower & Laundry Details
Haven of Hope on Wheels (HOHOW) is a customized shower and laundry trailer built by a company that specializes in portable shower/restroom/laundry trailers. Our custom trailer features three shower/toilet rooms and two washers/dryers. Haven of Hope Can Provide:- SHOWERS UP TO: 72 PEOPLE PER DAY / 360 PER WEEK / 17,280 PER YEAR
- LAUNDRY UP TO: 48 LOADS PER DAY / 240 PER WEEK / 11,500 PER YEAR
